Located on the last developable lot adjacent to Griffith Park in the Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles, Paramnesia House feels more distant and removed than the vast majority of residences within a twenty mile radius. The house is composed of two interlocking conditions: a 1,400 square-foot single story major renovation and a 1,500 square-foot two story + garage addition. The elevated new deck ties the renovation and addition together, while providing an outdoor gathering space to overlook Griffith Park. Originally quite introverted, the updated design now focuses outward upon the ostensibly empty and serene landscape.
