As one of the earlier concepts for the DC Shoe Flag-ship Store in New York, this design espouses principles of suspended speed, technical innovation and radical movement through space, all of which are inspired by DC Shoes athletes. Capturing the essence of the world-record jump by DC Shoes athlete and co-founder Damon Way, this Muybridge inspired design distilled a series of freeze-frame photographs of Way’s movement through the air into diagrammatic images, which would have been subsequently cut into sections of glass.  The glass segments were then to be placed into a tight rhythm along the length of the store, in order to index the jump itself.
